Yong Zhao was born in June 1980. He is now a full-professor in Henan University.He was appointed by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee introducing overseas high-level young talents. He obtained a bachelor's degree in applied chemistry in Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University in 2003, and obtained a doctoral degree in physical chemistry of the Institute of chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Supervisor: Professor Lei Jiang). from 2008 to 2015, he was a postdoctor in the department of applied chemistry, The University of Tokyo, Japan (co-supervisor: Prof. Kazuhito Hashimoto). In 2016, He was appointed as a distinguished professor of "climbing plan" of Key Laboratory for Special Functional Materials of Ministry of Education in Henan University. At present, the main research direction is multi-scale structure control of electrode functional materials and its application in energy converter. He has published more than 30 SCI papers including of Chem. Soc. Rev., Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Funct. Mater. Etc., and authorized 2 international patents.
